Detailed description

Paradise Valley Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Fairfield, California.

Paradise Valley Golf Course first opened for play in 1993. The course was designed by Robert Muir Graves.

Paradise Valley, is believed by many to be the number one golf course in Solano County and Best Value in the North Bay area. Paradise Valley Golf Course has a great layout that is enhanced by oak studded fairways and meandering creeks. It's a favorite for golfers who enjoy a walking round of golf and is playable for golfers of all abilities. For the more experienced golfer who likes a challenge, the length of the golf course from the back tees will provide plenty of challenges; ball placement and club selection is key.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,065 yards. From the tips, the course rating is 74.1 and the slope rating is 133. From the forward tees the course measures 5,386 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 560 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 158 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 5, a 450 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Paradise Valley Golf Course is # 12, the 158 yard par-3.

Enjoy my round here. The course isn't overly difficult, but is challenging enough for a group of seniors to enjoy themselves. Conditions were pretty good considering the drought conditions in the area, but the pace of play was a bit slow (4:45 hour round; but we were following a SIRS' tournament and the foursome in front of us must have had their full monthly pension checks on the line as the nasau bet). But I must admit Paradise Valley is worth the hour-long drive it took me to get there and I'd definitely play it again.

Twilight rates are cheaper at Hiddenbrooke (a much better course) Mon-Thurs.

This jewel is owned by the City of Fairfield along with Rancho Solano and both are run by Kemper Sports which has done an excellent job in upgrading the courses and services. Paradise Valley boasts execllent food and drink in the clubhouse. This feature alone may be worth a trip but then you add the golf... A true value and all the locals know it. Friends of mine from out of the area and out of state often want to play this course when they can. That to me is the highest testimony.

It's a fun course for a long hitter that isn't always accurate b/c the fairways are huge. Yes there are lateral hazards that could come into play but you have to really slice or hook it to make that happen. The carts are well maintained and have GPS which is a bonus. It's just a nice wide open course that is right out in front of you. If you don't like tight fairways then you will love this course. Nice range too. Expect wind to play a factor here on this flat, good for walkers layout.

The course was in excellent condition and the pace of play allowed us to play both efficiently and with a feeling of not being pressed. The clubhouse had construction work in progress and was not at it's best. The round was a very good value.

The course was in good condition and challanging in length, forgiving in width, some water but and sand but not too much. I was favorably impressed. The bar restaurant area is casual but the choice and quantity of sandwitches is above average and very good.

Not a bad course at all. Nothing terribly memorable, but worth going out to play. Good facilities.

One of the best things about this course is the staff. They are very accomodating and try to meet everyone's need. I walk on a lot and they really work to find a spot for singles.

I have played there a half dozen times and always enjoyed it. The pace of play is generally very good and the layout makes you think a little. Legends in the club house is great for breakfast, the turn and for libations after the round.
