I've played it several times when I've already been at the hotel for an annual conference. It's good -- worth booking an extra day & lugging my clubs across the country for. I'd probably bring my clubs and find another course in PS if it wasn't good, but I haven't bothered to leave the resort to look for something else over the past few years, which says something.
The investment put into the two courses and the clubhouse was well worth it! Played my best round in five years there, including my first hole in one, so of course I enjoyed Indian Wells. I played it years before and the new layout and improvements have made a world class difference. Forgiving but tough, with excellent fairways, bunkers and greens. Total experience, including the courses, practice area and clubhouse is excellent.
