First class course, first class service from the moment an attendant meets you at your car in the parking lot with a golf cart.

The course conditions were fantastic, even if the wind was gusting up to >25 mph.

The pace of play was fine, the marshalls we saw were all friendly and informative.

The rest of my group said the Bloody Maries between 9th green and 10th tee were also excellent.

I played because there was a special...if not for the special - I would not play due to the high price.

Awesome course. The pro shop staff and starter are great. They make the day start great. Amazing patio near the 18th green to have drinks and food. Good job Wente.

I play this course every year and the greens are in awful condition right now. Bad repairs on a nunber of greens, and turf on the greens is patchy and very thin. Cart path only because of the water logged fairways. Pace of play was great. Seems like the food barn between 9 & 10 is almost always closed, but there was a cart girl today. The cafe menu is very short. The course winding through the vineyard and the canyons is easliy one of the best there is. I drive 400 miles every year to play it. Balls not in the fairway (1st cut of rough, or worse) will probably be lost because it the rough is thick & deep and there isn't anything to gauge where the ball went ... it's all big tracks of expansive green grass. More yardage markers or a GPS would be helpful!

Outstanding, friendly staff. Senior rate of $50 is very good. Course was in excellent condition. We had had rain the night before so the greens were a little bumpy but still very fast. This is one of the best courses in the Bay Area and definitely a pleasure to play

This is the best course in the Bay Area. Because of the cost I only play it 2-3 times per year, but I can remember every shot on every hole for months. THe greens and the fairways are perfect and the tee boxes are not far from being perfect either. Play it....You'll like it.

The parallels between Wente and a glass of fine wine would be accurate. A lot of fun, very dramatic and a great test of golf. #5 is a bit quirky, but the rest of the course is fantastic. One of the best you'll play in the bay area.
