Detailed description

Links Course At Paso Robles is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Paso Robles, California.

The Links Course At Paso Robles first opened for play in 1996. The course was designed by Rudy Duran and Gary Wishon.

The Links Golf Course of Paso Robles is a fun winding layout where no fairways join each other and each hole plays as its own. With rare elevation changes and each tee box positioned just after the previous green, The Links of Paso Robles, provides a great opportunity to enjoy a walking golf on beautifully manicured Bermuda fairways.

The Links Golf Course of Paso Robles boasts hard and fast Bermuda Fairways, lined by Bermuda and Rye rough. You stray to far from the fairways and you will undoubtedly encounter one of the 3500 low lying coyote bushes which line each hole. As with most links style golf courses keeping the ball in the fairway is at a premium. You accomplish this, you will have ample opportunity to go low!!

This Scottish links-style course is challenging yet fun to play. The course is very picturesque and includes beautiful surroundings. The fairways are fairly open and the greens are medium-sized. One water hazard comes into play on hole #9, a 340-yard, par 4.

The Links Golf Course of Paso Robles considers their signature feature to be exceptionally large and extremely well maintained greens with fast and smooth putting surfaces.

The Links Golf Course of Paso Robles is challenging for both the novice and the most experienced of players. The forward tees (Red) plays the Front 9 at 2766 yards and the Back 9 at 2844 yards. The middle sets of tees (White and Blue) are modest in length. The White Tees play 3077 yards for the Front 9 and 3143 yards for the Back 9 for a total of 6220 yards. The Blue Tees play a bit longer and make the course much more challenging especially when attacking the longest par 3's in the county. The front 9 plays 3294 yards and the Back 9 plays at 3348 yards for a total of 6642 yards. The Gold Tees which are used only in Tournaments stretch the course out to 7000 yards.

Wide fairways, playable rough, friendly staff, be prepared to play in the wind...it can really blow in the afternoon. I would recommend a little bit of attention should be paid to the ball cleaners, other than that I'll be back soon.

The Links seem to keep surviving all the financial issues that have plagued the course over the last couple years. This is a fun course with no parallel fairways, no deadly rough or out of bounds. I have been going there many years and even with the fairways somewhat below par the greens are good and the course fun to play.

Not all fairways are well maintained. Often you can have a bad lie in the middle of the fairway. Greens are excellent, don't read too much break into them. The staff is always very friendly. Love the guys in the clubhouse!

Fun course that starts with 2 par five holes, that gives you a good warm up and the wide fairways allow room for error. You can go low just do not read too much break in those greens. Airport is located close by and the planes flying around you are an added bonus.Love playing this course, I have some of my best scores here.

The layout is probably the best in the area the fairways are wide and the greens are large, undulating medium paced and very smooth. There is a real difference between the front and back tees so there's a challenge for all skill levels. I like the fact that the staff have cleared the brush back it allows the high handicappers more room and speeds up play what's wrong with that? Low handicaps can play the tips it's pretty long and their approach shots will present plenty of challenges. There is no water and few trees just like golf was intended a refreshing enjoyable course play it!

Course is in nice shape but not overly difficult since they cleared out the brush. Linx style course without the trouble off the fairway.
