Coyote Springs Golf Club (previously known as PGA Golf Club Coyote Springs - The Chase Course) is an 18-hole public golf course located in Coyote Springs, Nevada.
The Chase, which opened in 2008, it was the first golf course in a planned series of Jack Nicklaus-designed courses that was planned to flow throughout the planned Coyote Springs community.
Coyote Spring golf course plays to a par 72 and ranges from 5,349 yards from the forward tees to 7,471 yards from the championship tees. Eleven lakes come into play on the golf course many consider to be one of Nicklaus' finest desert creations.
The facility also has one of the larger practice facilities that you are likely to find. The practice facility occupies 19-acres and includes 13 target greens and a short game area for pitching, chipping, and bunker practice.
Day 12 - 100 days, 100 courses (Monday, March 25, 2019)
I put Coyote Springs into the GPS and it tells me that it is 1 hour and 20 minutes away. So I start driving.
After 20 minutes you go by the Las Vegas Motor Speedway at which point civilization ends. 30 minutes later you turn off the interstate and get on a 2 line road for the next 30 miles.
Rumor has it that Coyote Springs was supposed to be part of a 100,000 person development in 2007. After the course was built the development went bust in the financial crisis of 2008.
They did a fantastic job on the course but went a little overboard on the greens. As someone said to me, "if you aren't 4 putting, you aren't having any fun." Fast with multiple breaks and many times the putt would just run off the back.
I only lost 1 ball but shot a 98.
