Silo Ridge Country Club
Silo Ridge Country Club, previously named Island Green Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Amenia, New York.
The course opened in 1992 and was the design work of Al Zikorus.
The course closed in 2011. In early 2015 Discovery Land Company of Scottsdale, Arizona announced a plan for the development of the golf course and the adjoining land into a resort community has been made. The plan calls for a 20 room lodge, 246 vacation residential properties and, according to the press release, a “world class Tom Fazio-designed golf course that will completely replace the existing golf course

The Silo Ridge golf course has been exquisitely redesigned by Tom Fazio. The new and improved layout offers dramatic views, challenging terrain, and lush landscaping. Once on the course, members can enjoy Discovery’s signature comfort stations at Holes 3, 4, 12 and 16. While the entire course has earned rave reviews, Holes 12-14 have been dubbed the ‘Amen Corner’ of Silo Ridge. With bent grass from tee to green, the 7,100 yard, par 71 offers playability for golfers of all abilities.

The course is fairly open and most greens are accessible. The surrounding beauty cannot be matched, especially in the fall. They offer good weekday packages that include lunch. Their signature hole (almost an island green) is outstanding. There is even a dinosaur fossil in the rocks at one tee box.
A very nice place to play golf.
