Heather Glen Golf Links is a Public, 27 hole golf facility located in Little River, South Carolina. The club has three nine-hole courses that are played in three eighteen-hole combinations. The course is described as a links layout, but this does not seem an appropriate description with its forested tree-lined fairways.

Heather Glen Golf Links first opened for play in 1987. Willard Byrd did its original 6,783-yard routing with Clyde Johnston adding nine more holes in 1990

Heather Glen was named Golf Digest's America’s No. 1 New Public Course in 1987. Heather Glen also made the Top 50 Public Courses in America list in 1990, the "Top 5 Golf Courses in South Carolina" list in 1995, and earned a 4.5 stars rating from Golf Digest in 2002.

All three courses were designed with fifty-foot elevation changes, gigantic 100-year-old pine trees, pot bunkers, and waste areas spread throughout all twenty-seven holes. All three courses have narrow, tree-lined fairways. The greens are sloped with mounding around them. Streams come into play several times on each course.

The course closed in November 2017.

The course is slated to be sold to homebuilder D.R. Horton if Horry County approves a rezoning.

Played this course (red & white 9's) in the afternoon and only paid $22 w/cart! Tight at times but also open enough to pull out the driver if one feels up to it I made it around just as well with a 3 wood when I wasn't swinging the Big Dog. Since we were pretty much the only ones out there the pace of play was great - we set it and was quick at about 3.5 hours. My only complaint was some of the pot bunkers (LOTS of them on holes that were already punising enough. Seemed like overkill but all in all certainly worth the trip. There are a lot of good courses in the area but it stands on its own. The other "Glens" courses are worth checkibng out also.

Played this course twice while on vacation in South Carolina. The course has 27 holes so the pace of play was no problem. This course was my favorite for ambiance with tree lined fairways. The greens on one nine hole were a little rough but still playable. Do not miss this course if you are in this area.

Links style course with some interesting holes. Water makes a few holes very challenging. Greens were in excellent condition the day we played. About half the fairways are narrower than the average course in the Myrtle Beach area.
