Years back, we used to place this course with friends and always enjoyed it. Presently, the course is in the worst condition we have ever seen any golf course. The clubhouse, as well, is in shoddy condition. We made some inquiries and found out that there are six owners, who are trying to sell the course. If they succeed, it had better be a buyer with a LOT of money, because it will be VERY costly to get Woodlake back in enjoyable playing condition. The owners are obviously unwilling to invest any more money to keep it up and haven't been for quite some time. The greens are all full of some sort of fungus or whatever, and are going to be totally lost soon. Nothing about this course is being cared for. Very sad. Don't waste your money here.

"WOW" That sums it up.. I've been playing this course for years now. I can't believe the condition right now. I guess they don't know the meaning of upkeep.. Very disappointed right now.

Staff is friendly. Pace of play is very good. Hosted Texas Open in the 70's, so a nice opportunity to play where the greats have.
