Mike is a native of Sarasota, Florida with over 25+ years’ experience teaching golf. He attended Jacksonville University on a golf scholarship and upon graduation began his career as a PGA Professional. He worked eight years as a Head Golf Professional at multiple facilities on Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Trail. He returned home in 2000 and spent twelve years as the Director of Golf at The Meadows Country Club. Before coming to Lakewood National, Mike was a Golf Instructor / Coach at the IMG learning from the world’s best golf coaches and teaching golfers of all ages and abilities. Most recently, he was the Head Golf Professional at Lakewood National before taking the position as Director of Instruction. Mike’s passion is junior golf, and he believes in giving back and in growing the game. He spent several years as President of the Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association, he is a past North Florida PGA Southwest Chapter Junior Golf Leader award winner, and a PGA Junior League Coach. Mike’s proudest playing accomplishment is winning the North Florida PGA Southwest Chapter Championship in 2006.
